Bangla Post is Britain's first Bengali newspaper to be distributed in the UK newstrade.

Bangla Post shares the thoughts of our readers and advertisers alike. It is a vehicle for  journalistic excellence and readers' thoughts and aspirations and the perfect tool for  harmonising advertiser and target group interests, specifically the British Bengali  community.

Bangla Post will focus on people's lives exploring the issues that concern them most -  and act as a platform to engage in discourse, prompt debate and highlight issues that are  otherwise swept away under a plethora of spin by vested interests or not given importance  at all by the existing media outlets.

Bangla Post is a tabloid weekly newspaper that will marry the cutting edge sharpness of a  tabloid with the informed debate of a broadsheet and will contain the following:

Careers: Profiles of successful British Bengalis in various careers. Also advice on issues that  confront individuals on a daily basis.

Health: Advice on general health and also those conditions that have a higher propensity to occur  in the Bengali community.

Business: British Bengalis are naturally entrepreneurial and this section will contain advice on  start-ups and developing businesses. The features section will cover a whole range from  sole traders to blue chip enterprises.

Community focus / Current affairs: Focus on issues that are relevant to British Bengalis and news from the sub-continent,  which is not to be found in other publications.

Events: Forthcoming attractions such as films, theatre, melas, political events and shows  complete with pictorial reviews.

Education: It is widely recognised that Asians generally put a high emphasis on educational  attainment. The British Bengali community is on less enthusiastic and Bangla Post will  focus on issues particular to education and draw on educationalists to offer advice and  information for parents and pupils, at both the primary level and in higher education.
